Day 94

Okay, so here is my sad, sad tale;

You guys might have noticed in my past few photos, it’s been a little windy – or, to be fair, you may have not, since I’ve been editing out all the pictures where I look crazy-haired and lunatic.

Well, I was up on the top level of the porch (taking some fabulous sunny pictures) and laughing at how the breeze seemed to pick up violently just as the shutter would snap, and one huge big gust came up . . . .

. . . and knocked over the camera.

Which fell onto the aperture and the telescopic lens . . .which now won’t shut.

Genius.

So. I’m headed downtown to the camera stores in the Loop this evening, to see if I can get this easily fixed*, or if I’m going to have to send it back to the manufacturer to get loved . . . .

I know, I know, such a glamorous life, right?

So, I’m making do with the iPhone for the moment – and will hopefully have better news tomorrow.

To add insult to injury?

It is snowing again in Chicago.

Let me repeat. It is snowing. Again. in Chicago. (Aren’t you taking ‘in like a lamb, out like a lion’ just a little too seriously, Chitown?)

But I still have an audition this morning, so dresses and boots it is:

Ann Taylor cardigan, Hue tights, anthropologie dress, Hunter boots (And Danielles "oh, dude, can you believe it?" face)

And a slight closeup:

*I think it’s just that one of the lenses got slightly bent, so it should be fine and dandy and easy to fix – but dude. Just when I figured out how to take decent photos! Argh!
